Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community, promoting independence and daily living skills.

You will work one-on-one per ISP, with flexible hours and local cases; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable, and prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client''s ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.
