Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities across the state. You will work one-on-one, follow each person’s ISP, and promote independence through daily living activities and community participation.

We offer flexible hours, local cases, and a supportive team within a DDD-focused agency. Must be 18+, with a HS diploma or GED preferred, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support
