Job summary

Abound Health in Montague, NJ is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $23/hour for non-acuity and $33/hour for acuity, plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid training, growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicating with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules
• Completing ongoing training and professional development
