Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities across all New Jersey counties. The DSP – HCBS role offers flexible Day, evening, and weekend shifts with paid training and competitive pay ranging from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

Full-Time, Part-Time and Per Diem options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• CPR and First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
