Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for HCBS in New Jersey. We provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, with flexible full-time, part-time, and per diem options and pay ranging from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, transportation, and following individualized plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years old to apply.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Able to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer for documentation.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
