Gateways to Change, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental and physical disabilities in Rhode Island.

You will help individuals achieve daily living and social goals, assist with transportation, and support personal care while working with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment. We offer full-time, part-time, and substitute positions with competitive benefits including health/dental insurance, PTO, mileage

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance, registrations and inspection.
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based support to individuals.
• Assist individuals with achieving goals in the home and local community.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities.

We are looking for a dedicated and committed Direct Support Workers who are striving to make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Help individuals acquire and maintain skills to improve their daily-living, and socialization skills.

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
