Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Escondido, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes advocacy to improve quality of life in home and community settings.

The position requires evening shifts (PM 1p-9p Fri-Sun), a valid CA driver's license, background check clearance, and completion of DSP training (Year 1 & 2) or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• First Aid / CPR and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver's License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Here’s What You’ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:
