Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities, personal care, meals, transportation, and social participation.

DSPs will tailor support to individual plans, document progress in Therap and Relias, and ensure safety while lifting up to 50 lbs. CPR/FA certification required along with valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and note-taking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation and supervision for individuals to employment, recreation and activities.
• Perform vehicle inspections and ensure safe transport of residents.
• Housekeeping tasks including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms and floors.
• Prepare meals following dietary guidelines and ensure adequate supplies.
• Provide personal care support (ADLs) including dressing.
• Complete documentation in Therap and other systems.
• Monitor progress toward ISP goals and conduct sectioned reviews.
• Administer medications according to MAR and policies.
• Track vital signs and health-related information.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and assist as needed.
