Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities, transportation, and community engagement.

The DSP will tailor support to individual needs, document in Therap, and ensure safety and quality of care. The position is full-time, on-site in Hepzibah, GA, requiring lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals as required to meet employment, recreational and leisure activities.
• Performs housekeeping responsibilities including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms, and floors.
• Maintains standards when preparing meals and managing diets; follows safe handling of food guidelines.
• Provides personal care support including changing and dressing.
• Completes documentation and notes using Therap system and other programs.
• Ensures goals are tracked and completed per ISP.
• Assists in planning and facilitation of person-centered outings.
• Lifts and moves up to 50 lbs with/without accommodations.
