Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AMAP, SCIP, CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with 6 points or less required.
• Experience with adults who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety is expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supervision, health and safety of individuals and implement the plan of protective oversight.
• Advocate for individuals in medical appointments, church and recreation activities.
• Ensure the plan of care is implemented and medications are administered as prescribed.
• Assist daily living skills and maintain facility per OPWDD and COA standards.
• Assist in meals planning, shopping, and housekeeping tasks.
• Provide a safe, positive atmosphere and observe behavior for reporting to clinical staff.
• Document progress notes and maintain logs; keep CPR/First Aid/SCIP/AMAP certifications current.
• Support mobility, social skills development and participation in activities.
