Job summary

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to implement individualized strategies under supervision. The role involves daily documentation of services, maintaining client rights and safety, and supporting clients with activities of daily living, including potential behavioral challenges.

It requires physical tasks and the ability to work across multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CNA or Autism Certificate desired.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a team approach with clients, staff, and outside agencies.
• Implementing specific programs from the Individual Plan and documenting per procedures.
• Follow all agency rules, report concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with meals per dietician-written menus and client input.
• Attend to self-care needs, toileting, bathing, grooming, and related tasks.
• Provide transportation for clients using personal or agency vehicles.
