Job summary

MyPath is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join Homes for Independent Living, a MyPath company, to support children, adolescents and adults with special needs. DSPs follow Individual Service Plans and Behavioral Support Plans to maximize client potential and safety.

The role involves assisting with daily tasks, engaging clients in activities, monitoring health and medications, and supporting personal care in a respectful, empowering environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to and from programs and training classes.
• Communication & Problem-Solving skills.
• Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Screen.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients assisting with day to day tasks.
• Engage in fun activities with clients.
• Health monitoring and medication administration.
• Meal preparation in accordance to dietary guidelines.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with personal cares.
