Job summary

OLV Human Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals in Amherst, NY to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independent lives. DSPs provide daily living support, personal care, and participation in community activities, following Life Plans and program policies.

You’ll maintain accurate records in Therap and QuickMar, support health and wellness, and help individuals reach educational or employment goals.

Qualifications

• Provide direct support in daily living and health/wellness per Life Plan.
• Maintain documentation in medical records and program data.
• Obtain and maintain required DSP certifications.
• Valid NYS Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hygiene and personal care, including bathing and grooming.
• Document meal intake, medical monitoring, and behavior notes in Therap/QuickMar.
• Support community inclusion and family engagement.
