Job summary

Resources For Human Development is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a behavioral health residential setting in Dover, Delaware. You will provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health needs, helping them develop life skills, stay healthy, and participate in their communities.

The DSP will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, monitor safety, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Delaware driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
• Ability to meet driving requirements and transport individuals when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and housekeeping.
• Develop and support independent living skills and community participation.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and outings.
• Monitor health and safety, document services, and report concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and follow procedures for emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with care team.
