Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning, Inc. in Bedford, NH, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting. The DSP will assist with daily activities, transportation as needed, and contribute to program planning to help individuals live more independently.

Pay is $18.00-$19.00 per hour, based on education and experience. Hours are Mon-Fri 9a-3p.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills, experience using Therap a plus!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily activities, including household chores, meals, recreation, and learning activities.
• Assist individuals with transportation to community activities as needed; mileage reimbursement may apply.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and contribute input on program planning.
