Job summary

Bancroft’s Lakeside Campus in Upper Pittsgrove, NJ is hiring Direct Support Professionals to empower residents with autism and developmental disabilities. The role requires compassionate care, behavior plan implementation, and help with daily living activities, transportation, and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License with at least 1 year driving experience, good standing, unrestricted
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Aspirations to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Provide assistance with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, money management, housekeeping).
• Provide personal care and supervision; teach daily living and functional skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations; adhere to Bancroft’s safety standards and crisis techniques.
• Complete paperwork and documentation; communicate with residents and families.
