Makom is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live self-determined, meaningful lives within their communities.

Formación

• High school diploma required; further education in human services is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and general computer skills.
• Maintain professionalism and positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and external partners.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized support based on each person’s needs and help them engage in their communities.
• Support skill-building aligned with PCP/ISP.
• Facilitate community engagement to build social networks and pursue meaningful activities.
• Provide coaching for ADLs and IADLs tailored to each person.
• Ensure safe, clean living and work environments, following care plans.
• Adapt approaches as individuals’ needs evolve.
