The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc. in Harwinton, CT is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead independent, meaningful lives.

You will support individuals in homes and community settings, assist with daily living tasks, and foster skill development and independence. We offer competitive pay at $19.20 per hour, comprehensive health insurance with no deductible on most services, generous vacation, flexible shifts, and paid

Qualifications

• A positive attitude, compassion, and desire to help others.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete background checks and physical.
• Basic computer skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in homes, community, or day programs.
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
• Encourage skill development and independence.
• Create and participate in activities and outings.
• Document and communicate effectively.
