Job summary

The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home supports to adults with I/DD in Torrington, CT. You’ll work one-on-one to help them live safely, independently, and confidently in the community.

With starting pay of $19.20 per hour, this role offers flexible shifts, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. You’ll perform meals, housekeeping, errands, and daily living skill coaching, while maintaining a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CT driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to complete required background checks and a physical.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including multiple shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and healthy menu planning.
• Assisting with household chores and organization.
• Grocery shopping and errands.
• Supporting fitness routines and recreational activities.
• Encouraging and teaching daily living skills.
