Job summary

YAI is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for their Bergen County residential programs. Successful candidates will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing care and support to ensure their well-being and community integration.

DSPs will engage with individuals to promote personal goals, oversee daily activities, and maintain a safe environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma and demonstrate effective communication skills. Positions offer competitive pay with various benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands of position.
• Must hold or obtain valid Driver’s License.
• Basic computer skills including email and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in maximizing their strengths and interests.
• Responsible for the supervision and care of individuals.
• Provide support in a variety of settings per individualized plans.
• Ensure medication is administered as prescribed.
