WellLife Network is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and community connection for individuals served in Jamaica, NY. The role emphasizes safety, daily living assistance, and collaborative care with healthcare teams.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, fluent English, and a NY Driver’s License with driving experience. Competitive hourly pay and robust benefits accompany meaningful work within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School graduation required or equivalent.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).
• Comfort operating a large vehicle (for driving positions).
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Personal Care & Daily Living Support: assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Meal preparation, household chores, and safe home environment.
• Health & Wellness: administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
• Mobility & Accessibility: assist with walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: implement respectful strategies and promote confidence.
• Community & Social Engagement: plan activities and encourage community involvement.
• Communication & Advocacy: support communication tools and advocate for needs.
• Collaboration & Documentation: maintain daily notes and records in electronic systems.
