Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings across New Jersey. You will help clients achieve personal goals, ensure health and safety, and assist with daily living activities within a home environment.

Responsibilities include adhering to person-centered plans, administering medications as needed, documenting progress, and coordinating with care teams to maintain quality care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; required in some states.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass criminal background checks, central registry check (where applicable) and child abuse registry (in applicable states).
• Must complete and pass a drug test, in applicable states.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.

Responsabilités

• Comply with all company and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Assist Individuals in meeting personal goals, increasing independence, and community participation.
• Administer medications as needed and document care.
• Complete required shift documentation (progress notes, logs, incident reports, etc.).
