Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide quality living and community support to individuals with IDD. The role includes personal care, daily living assistance, community integration, and medication support as trained.

You will work as part of a trauma‑informed care team, maintaining confidentiality, documenting activities, and promoting independence and self‑determination for those served. A valid driver’s license and vehicle access are often required.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community and home settings.
• Ability to document logs and follow agency policies, including HIPAA.
• Comfortable working with a trauma-informed care approach and collaborating with a care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support in home settings, including personal care and daily living tasks.
• Assist with household chores, meal prep, laundry, and transportation as needed.
• Support individuals in social, community, and clinical activities while ensuring safety and dignity.
• Attend planning meetings and document progress in agency software.
• Administer medications as trained and maintain logs and records.
