Devereux in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help adults with autism and developmental disabilities gain independence and daily living skills in residential and day programs.

You will be part of a supportive, growth-focused team with a comprehensive benefits package and training opportunities. A two-week paid orientation is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Empathy, reliability and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to respond calmly, make thoughtful decisions and know when to ask for support.

Responsabilités

• Work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure safety, health and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist daily living skills such as food prep, cooking, cleaning and shopping.
• Plan, implement and document programs addressing social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteer opportunities and outings.
• Build positive relationships with families to support the individual.
• Safely transporting individuals to appointments and activities.
