Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide direct support in a residential setting for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, meals, chores, recreation, learning and fitness, while advocating for residents and contributing to program planning.

The ideal candidate has experience with disabilities, strong communication skills, empathy, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with individuals with disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills; Therap experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities.
• Assist with household chores, meal preparation, and recreational and learning activities.
• Support physical fitness activities and community engagement.
• Represent the needs and interests of individuals and contribute to program planning.
