Job summary
United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc invites applications for a Direct Support Professional in Community Supports. The DSP will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in community and employment settings, helping them build independence and participate meaningfully in daily life.
Responsibilities include transportation to activities and work, job coaching, and collaboration with teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in direct service preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for internal email.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to transport clients.
Responsibilities
- Support participation in the community and workplace with meaningful activities and job support.
- Provide transportation using a personal or agency vehicle.
- Deliver on-site employment support (job coaching, modeling behaviors, teaching tasks, promoting independence).
- Advocate for individuals in all settings and communicate according to each person’s preferred method.
