Job summary

United Counseling Service (UCS) in Vermont seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in community and employment settings.

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the DSP helps individuals build independence, supports transportation to activities and work, and delivers on-site employment support including job coaching and modeling appropriate work behaviors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Direct Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder in community and employment settings.
• Provide transportation to and from community activities and to and from employment.
• On-site employment support including job coaching and modeling appropriate work behaviors.
• Maintain safety and assist with developing independence and community involvement.
