Job summary

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. in Stroudsburg, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support and personal care in a licensed community residential facility.

DSPs help with daily living skills, promote independence, and encourage dignity and quality of life. You'll complete documentation, assist with medications, supervise activities, and participate in program planning while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification & CPR/First Aid Certifications.
• Provide and Maintain a Valid U.S. Driver’s License and insurable under company policy

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
• Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
• Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
• Complete all required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
• Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
• Foster community integration by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
