Job summary

Life Steps Foundation, Inc. seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional for CCAS in the Lompoc-Santa Maria-San Luis Obispo area to assist adults with developmental disabilities to live independently.

You will perform personal care tasks, mobility support, connect clients with community resources, and help with housing and billing processes while adhering to privacy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
• Medical/Dental insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with bathing and toileting, if needed
• Support clients with general physical activity
• Help clients with wheelchair and other mobility needs
• Identify natural and community supports and assist clients in utilizing them
• Support clients in developing and maintaining relationships
• Assist in finding a roommate and housing, when needed
• Submit accurate, complete, and legible billing and payroll documents in a timely manner
• Provide on-call assistance to clients in the event of an illness or emergency, when needed
