Extended Families of Nebraska in Lincoln is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including occasional summer activities with children, in a clean, safe environment. You will support daily living, transport, and community activities, following Individual Support Plans, with a focus on dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, typically 8:00–8:30 AM and 3:00–3:30 PM; exact hours discussed during the interview

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Aide certification, and Mandt certification (Preferred).
• Have basic computer and technology skills relevant to the support of individuals served.
• Pass a criminal background check and Adult/Child Protective Services Central Registry check.

Responsabilités

• Provide services respecting the dignity and rights of the individual and protect from abuse.
• Ensure medical needs and orders are followed with EFN staff cooperation.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment tailored to the person supported.
• Assist in teaching balanced meals, including modified diets.
• Provide safe, reliable transportation meeting individual needs.
• Maintain required documentation to ensure needs are met and billed.
• Collaborate with EFN to develop or maintain inclusion skills.
• Implement all elements of the ISP for the position.
• Ensure ISP services meet individual needs.
• Provide progress feedback to supervisor on ISP implementation.
• Fulfill all other duties assigned by supervisors.
