Brightway Living and Learning in Greenlawn, NY is seeking a DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) for our adult residential services. This full-time, on-site role offers hourly pay from $21.00 to $23.10 per hour, with a starting rate at $21.00 and a NYS driver's license requirement.

You will support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence, and help them connect with their communities through compassionate, individualized care.

Qualifications

• Empathy, patience and ability to support individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills as part of a DSP role.
• Valid NYS Driver's License with clean driving history is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate with a team of DSPs, supervisors and families.
