Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs provide support in homes and community settings, promoting independence, advocacy, and meaningful daily activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, documenting care, assisting with personal care and medications, and helping clients access transportation and group activities.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift. Some physical work examples could be but are not limited to:Intervening in aggressive situation and/or physically demanding responsibilitiesSupport with lifting individuals to and from wheelchairsSupporting a person to and from a showerUsing a gait belt in a safe and dignified wayProviding transportation for the people we support is an essential function of the DSP position.
