Job summary

Integrated Life Choices is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs provide meaningful daily assistance in home or community settings, promoting independence and rights awareness.

The role requires independence, the ability to maintain safe environments, and thorough documentation of support provided each shift. Training and certificate requirements are implemented as part of the position.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in understanding and exercising their rights.
• Encourage independent living and self-advocacy to meet personal goals.
• Provide person-centered supports to meet people’s needs.
• Support and encourage positive interactions and community participation.
• Ensure safety and document the support provided during every shift.
• Assist with personal hygiene and medication administration when needed.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments.
• Record end-of-shift documentation accurately.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.
