Job summary

New Communities Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support adults with intellectual disabilities in our Norway, ME residential program. You will model positive behavior, assist with daily living activities, and encourage independence, both at home and in the community.

We offer paid training opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package. Part-time roles are available with pay rates from $15.10 to $17.10 per hour, with immediate hiring.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Active driver's license required.
• Experience in direct care preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Assist with personal care tasks and daily living activities.
• Administer medication as assigned and supervised.
• Promote independence and participate in community activities.
• Assist with transportation using company vehicles.

Part-Time positions available - Pay rate dependent on position, shift, certifications, and experience, ranging from $15.10 - $17.10/hr. Hiring immediately!

Per diem positions available - work hours are not guaranteed and are scheduled on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility rather than a set schedule.

The role:

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our residential program located in Norway, ME, you will provide direct care support to adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. Support consists of acting as a role model, administering medication, assistance with personal care, and inspiring clients to be as independent as possible, both at home and in the community. This opportunity includes attending and actively promoting recreational, social outings, and activities for our clients with New Communities company vehicles for client transportation.
