Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional / Caregiver to empower individuals with developmental and medical needs to live as independently as possible. You will provide hands-on assistance, supportive direction, and personal care with respect and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required (driving to transport individuals served).
• Comfortable driving to transport individuals served as required.
• Background clearance is required as part of onboarding/employment.
• Excellent communication skills; reading, writing, and documentation are essential.
• Team player with a respectful, collaborative mindset.
• Patient, kind, dependable, and adaptable in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals served.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as part of daily living support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility as needed.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

ADirect Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiverprovides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

Qualifications
