Job summary

Esoregon is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community. This hands-on role helps people live more independently and stay active.

No experience needed; paid training provided. You’ll work Monday to Friday 20 hours with weekend availability encouraged, and you may earn total compensation up to $28/hr with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred or willingness to learn.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with higher behavioral needs.
• Available to work weekends.
• Own reliable transportation for use in transporting clients.
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance (minimum 100k/300k liability coverage).
• Smartphone with internet access for documentation.
• Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Able to assist with physical tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily tasks such as hygiene, meals, and light housekeeping while encouraging independence.
• Implement goals outlined in the ISP.
• Foster healthy routines and support client development in line with their abilities and interests.
• Accompany clients on outings, appointments, or errands.
• Promote social inclusion by encouraging community interaction and positive relationships.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation using your own vehicle.
• Ensure safety in both home and community settings.
• Respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations, including medical or behavioral emergencies.
• Maintain regular communication with the administrative team.
• Accurately complete all required documentation and reporting.
