Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living tasks and community activities. You will implement ISPs, provide companionship, monitor health per guidelines, and support transportation, documentation, and emergency procedures; CPR/First Aid certification is required or completed through approved providers.

We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem roles with competitive pay and benefits;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training to be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
