Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help clients achieve personal goals, maintain independence, and participate in community activities.

You will assist with daily living tasks, implement ISPs, provide companionship, monitor health, and support transportation to appointments and outings.

CPR/First Aid training is provided; a valid driver's license or reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility).
• Implement and adhere to ISPs aligned with client goals.
• Provide companionship and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medications and monitor client health as directed.
• Support transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavior plans.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.
