Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist adults with IDD in Bucks County and surrounding areas. You will help with daily activities, community participation, and independent living while maintaining safety, dignity, and respect.

The role offers flexible schedules (part-time and full-time) with competitive hourly pay based on experience, paid weekly. Training is provided and PA background clearances are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass PA background clearances.
• Comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities at homes and in the community.
• Encourage independence and self-advocacy.
• Assist with meal prep, personal care, and light household tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and document basic information.
• Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times.
• Follow individual support plans and health or behavioral strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting individuals with daily activities like meal prep, personal care, and household tasks


• Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-advocacy


• Helping individuals participate in community activities, employment, and social opportunities


• Following individual support plans and health or behavioral strategies


• Ensuring safety, dignity, and respect at all times


• Communicating openly with supervisors and completing basic documentation

Who We’re Looking For

• Kind, dependable, and patient people who genuinely care


• High school diploma or GED


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred


• Ability to pass PA background clearances


• Comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team


• Experience with IDD is a plus, but not required(we provide training)
