Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP II) for contract-based, full-time work in Ridgely, MD. The role offers $21 per hour and approximately 39 hours per week in healthcare facility settings.

You will support residents with daily living activities, follow the Individual Service Plan, and help develop interpersonal skills in home, community, or residential environments. High school diploma and valid licenses/insurances are required.

The Direct Support Personnel II assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel II worksdirectly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily livingand adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel II should follow the guidanceof the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Valid driver’s license

• Valid and current auto insurance

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health Certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
