Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Malvern, PA. This per diem position offers $21 per hour and requires supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living and skill development.

You will work directly with residents, providing assistance as outlined in their Individual Service Plans, in home, community, or residential settings. A HS diploma and CPR may be required, with federal/state compliance expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directlywith the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living andadaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance ofthe resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
