Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Cleveland, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Training is provided in full, so no experience is required.

As a DSP you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes, performing personal care, meal prep and daily living tasks while promoting independence. This role offers training and paths for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with MV record requirements.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of their life.
• Completing household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / Caregiving.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Requirements for this position include (What You'll Need):

  • Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to):
    • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
    • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed
