Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) II in Manchester, IA. The role involves assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living activities, based on each resident's Individual Service Plan.

The position is contract-full time with a pay of $19/hour. Responsibilities include supporting growth, interpersonal skills, and daily living activities within home, community, or residential settings, while adhering to

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid and current auto insurance.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Meets all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living.
• Provide supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills.
• Follow Individual Service Plan guidance for residents/patients.
• Work directly with residents in homes, communities or residential settings.

The Direct Support Personnel II assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel II worksdirectly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily livingand adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel II should follow the guidanceof the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Valid driver's license

• Valid and current auto insurance
