Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Burlington, IA for a travel position in healthcare facilities. You will work 40 hours per week and help individuals with daily living activities, communication, and social skills under the Individual Service Plan.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to health and safety standards. Competitive benefits are included with this travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Complies with applicable professional standards and regulations.
• CPR certification if applicable and health screenings may be required.
• TB test/PPD or chest x-ray as appropriate per contract or regulation.

• Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living activities.
• Support growth and development of interpersonal skills in home, community, or residential settings.
• Follow the Individual Service Plan for each resident.

The Direct Support Personnel II assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel II worksdirectly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily livingand adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel II should follow the guidanceof the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Valid and current auto insurance
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
