Amergis is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Goleta, CA for a part-time contract role. The DSP supports individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living activities and personal growth within home and community settings, following each resident’s Individual Service Plan.

The position is part-time with a 32-hour workweek, paying $23 per hour, and includes benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid and current auto insurance.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsabilités

The Direct Support Personnel II assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel II worksdirectly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily livingand adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel II should follow the guidanceof the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
