Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with I/DD in their homes and communities across all 21 New Jersey counties. Pay ranges from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, transportation, personal care, and documentation while promoting independence. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver’s license, background checks, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ years old required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping

• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized

• Provide safe transportation

• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals

• Complete timely service notes and required documentation

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle

• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings

• Smartphone or computer access for documentation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
