Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey. Flexible full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities offer meaningful, independent work and paid training.

Compensation ranges from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour, with opportunities for growth. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Experience with individuals with I/DD preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to adults with I/DD in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities and community integration.
• Support activities, appointments, errands, and transportation.
• Document services with timely notes and reports.
• Promote independence, dignity, and self-advocacy.
• Follow person-centered plans and goals and complete required forms.

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping

• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized

• Provide safe transportation

• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals

• Complete timely service notes and required documentation

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle

• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings

• Smartphone or computer access for documentation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
