Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide compassionate, one-on-one support to adults with IDs in their homes and local communities. Various shifts (day/evening/weekend) are available across New Jersey.

Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, assisting with personal care, and ensuring safety during transportation and activities while following person-centered goals. Equity and inclusion are core values of Serenity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training provided if needed.

Full-Time | Part-Time | Per Diem
$21.50–$26.50 per hour

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping

• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized

• Provide safe transportation

• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals

• Complete timely service notes and required documentation

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle

• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings

• Smartphone or computer access for documentation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
