Job summary

ViaQuest Community Solutions is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. This position offers paid training, no prior experience required, and pays $15.75 per hour.

You will provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, support their independence, and work with a team to meet health and daily living needs. A valid Indiana driverrs license and a personal vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals.
• Valid Indiana driverrs license and car insurance.
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Working with a team to ensure needs of those served are met.
• Teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of life.
• Carrying out household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

At ViaQuest Community Solutions we provide quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes . As a DSP, Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.
