Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes in Northwest Indianapolis and surrounding areas.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. The role offers starting pay of $15.75 per hour, a flexible schedule, paid training, benefits for full-time employees, PTO, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, annual pay increases, and opportunities to grow within a

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
• Indiana driver’s license with car insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Teach and assist individuals in all aspects of life.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.

At ViaQuest Community Solutions we provide quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. As a DSP, Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid (Indiana) driver's license and car insurance. Limited "non-driving" positions available.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Experience in the field of developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks.
